Evan's life came to a screeching halt the day his girlfriend placed their two month old baby girl into his arms, said she just couldn't see herself as a wife and a mother, and left. He was twenty-five years old. Two years later, he's raising Miranda to the best of his ability while he works an ultimately unfulfilling day job as a mail clerk in some high rise downtown. It pays the bills, but it's not his passion, which he left in the dust in order to make a life for he and his daughter. Maybe someday he'll go back to studying graphic design, but that day is not today.
He's dedicated, a patient and doting father, he thinks everything through to the utmost before making a decision. This is not a man who takes anything lightly, and although he is serious, it doesn't mean that he's not without a sense of humor. It just takes a while to peel back those protective layers in order to see it.
Maybe someday, he'll find happiness. For now, all he wants is to make sure his daughter grows up safe, healthy, and as content as he can make her.
